I was reading the papers (on line) this morning to try to get a handle on the latest on the Euro situation. It is a confusing picture indeed with some reports suggesting that the Euro has survived the crisis and others claiming (correctly I feel) that the crisis in Spain is about to move it on to a new level.
However as often happens when reading on line articles, one gets distracted. I was drawn to this article in the Guardian.
It turns out that King Juan Carlos of Spain has apologised to the Spanish people for taking a holiday in Botswana during the deepening of the financial crisis there.
It turns out that King JC was in the Southern African country SHOOTING ELEPHANTS and if you can’t quite believe this then here is the pictorial proof of the monarch standing in front of a dead elephant:
The article goes on to state:
“While the king was apologising, members of the Spanish branch of the World Wildlife Fund were weighing up whether to eject the monarch from his position as their honorary president.”
This comes on top of the recent pictures of Donald Trump’s sons with a leopard they had shot.
You get the feeling that for these bastards shooting animals is just a substitute for shooting the poor.
A plague on them.
