"Great read every day. Makes me smile as Rab muses about music and his irreverent views on the EU. Tune in, you won't be disappointed."

"Excellent 'Blog' which can be controversial at times, while maintaining it's humour. Keep it up Big Rab!"

"Updated every day with doses of good humour, political satire, a running commentary on the progress of author's home football team and his life."

"Pure brilliant, so it is - I never miss it, though God knows, I've tried."

"An inspiration to start my own blog"

"For dipping into it's better than pakora sauce"

"Anyone who doesn't like the EU and has a soft spot for Albion Rovers can't be all bad"

    "Facile and False"

    "Populist,puerile and prosaic"

"Utter pish! Keep it up, I love it!"

"People may also find the Ben Lomond Free Press blog illuminating, interesting and/or amusing. It’s not mentalist as such but familiar themes emerge. I particularly like accounts of encounters with strange elementals (of course! ELEmentals!) from elfin safety. And the fact that the blog is run by someone who plays in a blues band called Harmonica Lewinsky."

Bigrab does Bollywood!

Yes indeed I’ve directed my first short film, a politically incorrect piece lasting only a few seconds based on the Dundee police dug. I will probably succeed in upsetting everyone though!

The scene: A visually challenged man has taken to the hills above Dundee with his assistance dog…….

Never a Dull Moment

Daughter no.2 and I ventured out on Loch Lomond in the canoe again yesterday. This photo perhaps illustrates the ambient weather conditions.

What you see here is the view from the northern end of the island of Inchtavanach. We ventured further than we had on previous trips but one of the chambers was slowly deflating so we had to pull in a couple of times while I pumped it up. It seems we have a slow puncture!

Anyway I took these two photos. What do you reckon I try to sell them to Ikea for their arty-farty print series?

Ans here’s a quick quiz. Which English town does the top photo represent? (being Scottish will be an advantage here)

DUMB(arton) Thieves

This is from yesterday’s Sunday Mail. I feel this is a story about Britain’s dumbest thieves! Not only did they nick the only batch in existence of the new Dumbarton strip (or exhibit A as they’re now known), they then proceeded to advertise the fact on Ebay!

“CHEEKY thieves put a Scots football club’s new kit on eBay two weeks before its official launch. Dumbarton FC fans were amazed to see next season’s shirts for sale on the online auction site. The jerseys were part of a batch stolen by thieves while in transit from makers Surridge Sports HQ in Burnley, Lancashire. The firm asked the club to put a message on its website warning fans the eBay items were stolen. Dumbarton boss Gilbert Lawrie said: “The first time our strips will be available for purchase will be at our open training session on July 17th”.
