When I attend games I text the Scores to a Sons fan in exile. It’s always quite an amusement when the predictive text for ’sons’ comes up as ‘poor’! Never was that more apt than yesterday.

In an unexpected event I got to the game today.
Joe my assistant having arrived back from his holiday only this morning, volunteered to come in to work for a couple of hours to let me away to the game. Thanks Joe! (the favour is well noted!)

Good luck to Jim Chapman and the Sons as they visit Cowdenbeath today looking for the three points which would take them to the top of Scottish League division three with a further three games still to play.

That’s what it was for Cowdenbeath yesterday. Sons took the lead in 33 mins with Pat Boyle converting the easiest of chances. Cowden scored against the run of play twelve minutes into the second half.
Sons dominated most of the game against the league leaders, cheered on by their biggest crowd of the season.
