So what is the mystery object I bought today in Edinburgh? (50p depicted for scale purposes) Smiler, a regular reader of this blog but so far not a contributor, is someone who I suspect may know the answer. Anyone else?

What do these people have in common? See if this helps, they are Amy Winehouse (drug addled chanteuse), Gerald Ronson (convicted fraudster), Mick Jones (guitarist with Foreigner),Sir Malcolm Rifkind (plummy voiced Scots Tory), Bucks Fizz (early 80’s anodyne Eurovision group) and Sir Leon Brittan (oily old Thatcherite).
