Sons of the Ralph

During their most successful period of the twentieth century, Dumbarton FC wore the following strip:

2072a

A replica can still be bought from The Old Fashioned Football Shirt Company, costs £37.99 and it looks like this:

2072b

BLFP reader Ferncake reports that high end retailer Jenners is selling the following item from their boutique at Loch Lomond Shores. Price? £115.00.

Posh%20Strip[5]

I suppose the price, when you consider the opportunity of marketing the prestigious trade mark of Ralph Lauren isn’t all that bad.

If you’re completely insane.

Or a Dumbarton supporter.

  1. Or you could pay £30 for the current (similar) strip at DFC. And get a 10% discount with your Sonstrust membership!

  2. I intend hanging around Cameron House all this summer in the hope of shouting at someone, ‘Hey, bawbag is that a Dumbarton tap you’re wearin’ ?’

  3. Surely you have your logos in a twist?
    Isn’t that the Findus one?

  4. And these ‘logo’ companies seriously wonder why nobdy gives a second thought when buying the knock off variety. With prices like that they deserve to be ripped off, who was it that said “Ye reap what ye sow”?
