Craig Levein?
Many would say that the SFA has gone for the heir apparent to the Scotland job. However his appointment will likely cost them £500,000 in compensation to Dundee United.
There are always plenty of good managers/coaches out of work and if there weren’t any the SFA fancied they could have got Craigie Broon or someone like that in as a temporary appointment until one became available.
Football managers, no matter how good they are, sooner or later will get the sack or will resign under duress.
Amongst other reasons, that’s why I think the SFA have just wasted half a million quid.
I note that the SFA had the chance to get rid of Levein for nothing after Scotland failing to qualify for Euro 2012. Now it will cost around £700k.
Can Stewart Regan survive that blunder?
I don’t think so.

Sadly he might.
Regan should have been sacked months ago for bullying the SFL,which backfired on him
