I always have a wee check through the online press in the morning.
Having asked the question in recent days of who would front the Scottish Independence referendum ‘No’ campaign, I see the papers are reporting that it will be Osborne.
A bit left field I thought at first but on closer consideration, it actually made some sense. A working class fellow who has known a bit of hardship by being in prison as a lad, then dragged himself up by the bootlaces to become a success. Subsequent battles with addiction and alcohol abuse, high on the SNP’s agenda would surely put Ozzy in a unique position?
I mean I was worried that the No campaign would be totally ineffective and that the UK coalition would maybe appoint a public school/Oxbridge educated multi millionaire to front the No campaign.
Fair play to David Cameron and co, this is definitely an inspired choice.
