But in answer to your question Ben-Lo, economic chaos and instability is usually the precursor to political extremism in some shape or form. Be prepared for absolutely anything.
I can tell the Daily Hate Mail what is happening to house prices – having just had mine valued (at £40K less than it was a year ago), I can tell them they’re f*cked!
Wouldn’t rule out the coalition government though (and preparing to admit defeat on our little opinion poll wager!!)
On a more serious note, some of the political consequences of all this don’t really bear thinking about.. suffice to say I suspect that the fascists of the BNP are doubtless rubbing their hands together in glee..
