Club Crest

A pat on the back is due to my good friend Gilbert Lawrie who has, along with the board at Dumbarton F.C., secured the future of the club by buying the majority shareholding from Neil Rankine. The full story is HERE .

This has been a long slog and may present the oportunity for community ownership of the club.

Kelvin McKenzie

Any Scot who missed Question Time on BBC 1 last night should follow THIS LINK and click to view. Go to 36 minutes

 and 30 seconds in to hear a man who bears a Christian name which is the name of a river in Glasgow, and a surname which is as Scottish as Irn Bru and stovies. You could be forgiven for thinking that he was auditioning for a role in a new stage production of "Till Death Us Do Part" or perhaps that this was a a taxi driver appearing on the panel as a novelty.

No, this is a guy is the former editor of the most read newspaper in the UK and one for which he still writes a column (albeit not in the Scottish edition). A proportion of the Cheltenham audience applauded McKenzie but many booed and called out "shame". The man in a despicable, mean spirited, fascist,racist ignoramus.
