I'm indebted to my pal and fellow Sons fan Alan Findlay for directing me to the following Blog. John Smeaton is the baggage handler who challenged the terrorists at Glasgow Airport on Saturday. The Blog has been set up by an admirer of John's have a go style. There is an online appeal where you can pledge to buy him a pint. Unlike many of the jokes that have been circulating the west of Scotland today, this blog is genuinely funny.

There is of course a very serious side to this. John was a hero in tackling these lunatics whilst almost everyone else was running away. Many of his friends and work colleagues have weighed in with their admiration.
